Thankful to the Lord for all the good happenings in my life.
I used to think that good things doesn't happen for long in my life.
However, this thought has change recently.
Esp since I started my new job.
Good things started to happen in my life, one after another.
I started to believe in rainbows nowadays.
All sadness was gone after the rain has stop and when the rainbow appears smiling at me.
I am blessed with wonderful family, good friends, good colleague and bosses.
Each time when I started to frown, this frown doesn't last long, because just before I realise I was frowning, God gave me surprises in my life again. Time after time, blessings seems to knock at my door, delivering smiles on my face again.
I am blessed indeed.
I am thankful to God for good understanding bosses who acknowledge efforts and rewards according.
Without the past bad experience in work, I probably wouldn't appreciate and treasure what was given to me now.
God gave me another surprise last nite. Tears almost rush out of my eyes but was quickly holded back by me.
Finally the day has come...a long silence wait tho..
I received an advance Christmas present from one of my friend in my previous study group. I was very touched when she came over during the break and passed me a sweet looking Christmas present, saying that it was for me. I nearly burst into tears.
Thank U for the present dear! And thank God for this day has come. Not for the present but rather for the thot from this friend. Its much precious than the present itself. Thanks! Appreciate it very much. This means a lot for me!
Now I start to believe, endless good things and blessings are happening in my life. What other good things will come my way?
Will my Mr Right come along too?
Am I being too greedy? Or am I being faithful (having the faith in the Lord that God will bless His children.)
Thank U Father in Heaven. You have given the best and many great Christmas present to me, esp this year. Thank U Lord Jesus Christ!
Amen!

Good old friend
Asked an old friend to meet up for a drink last nite.
I brought him to a cozy bar for a drink.
He love the ambience.
We have a good chat last nite.
Its been a long time since we felt so relaxed..
Nothing is better than being with some one who knows you in and out,
accepting each other as he or she is.
Tho we are difference and we respect and accept the difference between us.
Maybe becuz there is never special chemistry feeling btw us..
like our common buddy and me. :)
This allows us to be ourselves without putting up a front face.
What you see if exactly what I am. Many time we tend to worry about the reaction of your partners esp during the dating period. Thus its not easy to be relax and really be yourself. hee..
I laughed and told him, it seems that I was never a woman to him,
nor is he a man to me. We are just who we are.
Haha..who says man and woman cannot be good friends =)
This is even better than having a life partner.
It is good to be single :)I really enjoy my singlehood now.
Enjoy while you can.

Rich Fool?
Here is something which I come across and I find it amusing..hee..
*Case WOT on TS*
A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum:
Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?
I'm going to be honest of what I'm going to say here. I'm 25 this year.
I'm very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above. You might say that I'm greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York . My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual salary?
Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you? Among those I've dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden , $250k annual income is not enough.
I'm here humbly to ask a few questions:
1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
2) Which age group should I target?
3) Why most wives of the riches is only average-looking? I've met a few girls who don?t have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys
4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (My target now is to get married)
Ms. Pretty
Here's a reply from a Wall Street Financial guy:
Dear Ms. Pretty,
I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyze your situation as a professional investor. My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone believes that I'm not wasting time here.
From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you.
The answer is very simple, so let me explain. Put the details aside, what you're trying to do is an exchange of beauty and money: Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square. However, there's a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can't be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It's not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worried 10 years later.
By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a trading position. If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or leased. Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.
Hope this reply helps. If you are interested in leasing services, do contact me.

The girl and the rock
One day, a girl was crying helplessly by the riverbank..
In the mist of her tears, she saw not far away was a huge unique rock which she has never seen before..
It caught her eyes and stopped her tears instantly
She walked towards it and was amazed by the uniqueness of this rock.
This rock seems to understand her sadness and comfort her in an unique way.
She felt the bonding with this unique rock.
Each day she carried the rock everywhere she goes.
The rock became her security and her companion..
Tho heavily-weighted..and tired, yet unwilling to let go of the rock....
This rock became so precious to her, as if she could never do without it. It became part of her life.
But as days goes by, she started to feel the weight of the rock, weighting her down. So much so that she could no longer breathe freely.
She struggled and struggled...losing her breath..
and losing the happiness which she had too..when she first found the rock..
Then one day,she suddenly felt that the rock no longer gave her the warm and secure feeling which she used to have.
She started to feel sad instead, even tho she still holds on to the rock. This rock seems so alien to her..
She kept asking herself..what has happened?
Finally the day came, she could no longer withstand the weight of the rock..and the coldness of the rock...
she decided that its time to let go...
With tears in her eyes, she left this rock unwillingly by the road and bid goodbye...
A sense of lost filled her chest...
yet...to her surprise... a sense of relieve and happiness dashed in too...
Her sadness turned into joy once again...
She then realised that she had made the right choice..
That rock doesn't belongs to her afterall.
Even tho its an unique rock..
Even tho it was there just when she needed it somehow...
It brought happiness, comfort and security to her for a moment...
but...after all..this rock needs to be somewhere else instead...
Its too heavy for her.
Its probably given by God for a moment...
And the time has come...the rock finished its mission..
Someone down the road probably needs it more than her right now..
A time to gain and a time to lose...
A time to be happy and a time to be sad...
A time to lost and a time to be found...
A time to cry and a time to smile :)
A time to read and a time to stop.
This is the story of the girl and the rock..
The End.

kaleidescope

At different point of time, we view life differently.
Recently my life seems to be overwhelmed by colours.
Looking back, life seems like a kaleidescope.
Looking into a kaleidescope, you find yourself entering a new world filled with colours, shapes and patterns, so beautiful that you refuse to get your eyes off it.
Each day, surprises seems to pop by knocking at my door, greeting me.
So much so that it almost took my breath away.
Life is filled with so many surprises and its ever-changing.
No one knows what's gonna happen the next moment.
Just as you thot you figure out what is going on...
the next moment you realise you are lost again.
Just like the patterns and colours one sees in the kaleidescope.
Sometimes you think you figure out what that beautiful patterns are made-of..but a slight twist on the kaleidescope, you are lost again.
It take time after time to finally get the pictures into our head.
But no matter what the pattern is, it seems to overwhelm us and bringing us into another space.
No doubt life seems ever-changing and often caught us by surprise, causing our heart to pound harder each day...but the colours and the beauty of life enriches us, bringing new hope for each day.
Move on..Move on..pick up your courage and move on..
Enjoy the beauty and the colours of life.
Life is filled with colours becuz there are always surprises down the road ahead.
Lift up your head high and hold on to your courage..
with that, you can face each day with a smile :)
That's life from a kaleidescope.

Last Day in Beijing
Today is the last day in Beijing.
Flying back to Singapore at 1pm but checking in about 11am.
At Beijing, one needs to take a little train (LRT) to collect your luggage upon arrival and or before check-in.
Finally managed to have a proper breakfast at the cafe in this hotel which I stayed in. The food so far, is better than those I had eaten during Joyce and mine Shanghai trip. Not sure is it becuz, the hotel I live in is 5 stars and the conference is 6 stars and the places we eat are highly recommended places.

Starting to miss this place already..thinking that I am leaving this place..hee..
I had a great time with May Ying here and a great learning experience and explosure in work aspect.
This cafe is nice and cozy. Food is nice too!
Too bad, everyday is like in a rush, no proper time to sit and enjoy a proper meal here even tho I stayed here.
Service is pretty good except their English isn't that fluent.
Overall good. I recommend one who know Mandarine to stay in this hotel for their Beijing trip, if they are looking for cheaper hotel in this 'expensive district'. It costs me USD313 for 3 nites stay, which is about SDG160 per nite incld breakfast.
The hotel where I have conference is cost about nearly double this price if i remember correctly.
Ahh..finally Home Sweet Home!!!

3rd Day in Beijing
Today is Tuesday, my 3rd in Beijing, 2nd and last day of Conference.
Thanks to the white wine I had, I managed to sleep very well last nite.
Woke up about 7am rushed again to get ready, then quick breakfast again, then conference at 9am today.
The Conference was good today. We exchanged many views.
Thereafter was group lunch for interaction.
Yesterday I was siting with the Indonesia Distributor, humbly listening to him sharing his business experience. Today, I was siting with my Korean Dad, listening to him sharing Philosphy of Life, work, time management and even
Marketing as I told him I missed my first Marketing class becuz of this businesss trip.
So he shared with me some knowledge on Marketing. He is also a lecturer/ Associated professor in Korean University.
After lunch is the conclusion of the Conference and Award presentation.
To my surprise, my company has a share of the award too!!!
My eyes were wide open as they called out my company's name, cuz we were not told.
They looked at me and say "Yes, its you, come and recieved the award!" hee..and so, I went up to recieve the medal award for my company.
=) That's so sweet.
As the conference ended, many came to talk to me and introduce themselve and we exchange business cards and some views on business prospect.

Thereafter was the BIRD NEST TOUR. haha..pardon me, I really thot we are visiting the BIRD NEST FACTORY till I heard someone said in Chinese 'niao cao' then I realise we are visiting the BIRD NEST LIKE STADIUM where this years Olympic was held.
We took transport there and had a long walk to reach that place.
Well, the stadium was not as big as the one Singapore has. Tho the structure is nice.
After the visit to BIRD NEST, we went back to hotel and bid goodbye..
Before I left, I had a short session on the Medical Business Aspect of some of the products.
Thereafter, I went to meet my church sister May Ying and she took me to a famous Mutton steamboat restaurant for dinner.
Before we reached the restaurant we stop over at Shi Mao Tian Jie, which I managed to go during the day when I had about an hour's interval.
You can see the the Day and night looks totally different.
Day is like a 'ghost-town' very quiet. I took a quick stroll in one of the Mall, and found out that the prices are way too high as compare to Singapore, not much different or should I say more expensive. Thus even get a single thing.

But night was different. I was captivated by this marvelous (longest) screen I think in the world above me which one will never know its a screen in the day. The 3D effect was so good!!! Its so cool..If May Ying didn't bring me here during the nite, I would probably say..Beijing??? Nothing to see..hee..
Okay, at least there are something impressive to see.

This is the nice scenery along the journey from the hotel where I have conference, to this Shi mao tian jie during the day.
Okie, after taking a few snap shots, its time for dinner.
Off we go...
We reached the famous mutton restaurant, as usual had to queue and wait for seats.
The steamboat is unique, you basically cook all the raw food in that steamboat (but its only plain water, unlike our chicken or herbal soup base). Thus soup has no taste.
We were given few live-prawns to cook in our steamboat.

The mutton taste good in the unique sauce, no chillie or light soya sauce which we normally have in Singapore. Take a long time to get use to that taste.
But overall, unique..no bad lah..hee..
After dinner, we went for a drink.
This place has funny drinks (voka) uses difference World Leaders name. Interesting.
Thereafter its bed time.
Sent May Ying back to her place and back to hotel to caught some sleep.
Thanks to May Ying, she made this trip a better one for me.
Without her, I dunno what I would be.
And thanks for I-ning for telling me that May Ying stays here and that I can meet up with May Ying. I had a great time here in Beijing. A great learning experiences in all aspect.
Overall, thank God for making this trip a wonderful one for me.
Thanks my offices/bosses for this business trip opportunity.
Seriously, this is not a tour, no sight-seeing in fact (except if you count the BIRD NEST and the restaurants where we had dinner one..)as many thot it will be..
But its an eye-openers for me as its my first business trip.
There is always 2 sides of the coin for everything.
In everything, take it with a gratitute and Life will be better :)

2nd Day in Beijing
2nd Day in Beijing was a busy day as this is 1st day of Conference.
The morning sun welcomes me as it shines into my room.

I didn't sleep the whole nite, as usual not used to being alone in foreign place. I think tonight will probably be better.
I took a quick breakfast at the cafe downstair and then dash for a cab to the Hotel where the conference is held.
The conference was good. Thereafter we had a wonderful lunch buffet at the 6-stars hotel itself.
I got to know lots of people from all over the world Japan, England, France, Indonesia, Korea, China, Hong Kong etc.
And we exchange our views and knowledge. They were very humble and taught me many things.
After lunch, we went into difference conference room to attend different seminars on different products and exchange our views and feedbacks.
There after, I had an early break about 4pm and I went back to my hotel to work on quotations and emails to my office in Singapore.
At about 6plus I rushed back to that Conference Hotel to have group dinner with our business partners again. We were brought to a Chinese Restuarant called the Hidden City.
The dinner was great. We get to know each other better in all aspects.
I even got myself a Korean 'father' during this dinner, hee..as he joked about wanting to introduce his son to me, cuz he is so surprise a beautiful lady like me is still single..hahaha..
He even asked the English man to introduces guys to me. They are so funny.
I told them, I am not into relationship now :) thot its really nice of them.
One of the English guy sitting beside me was very nice. We were chatting the whole evening..but only till the very end of our conversation, did I realise he is actually the 'Big Boss' of our Business partner who organise this Business Conference, Oops..!!!
Hee..
This seems to be an interesting and fruitful day for me. :)

1st nite in Beijing
This is my first nite in Beijing on my first business trip.
All excited but anxious too!
Thank God for giving me a beautiful room in this 5 star hotel. A huge and beautiful room.
Tho not used to stay alone in a hotel room but I must learn to overcome this.
This hotel is great!
Its good to have someone you know in a foriegn country esp when you are alone.
My church sister, May Ying works here and lives near the hotel which I am staying in.
She is so sweet and kind.
She came over to my room after I reached my hotel and took me out to Gui Jie a street full of food to eat..

After a long journey flight from Singapore to HK then to Beijing, I finally touched down in Beijing tonight 8pm.
Took a cab to the hotel which I booked near the conference place.
Really thankful to God that my church sister also stays in Beijing..becuz the taxi driver doesn't know where is my hotel (Jing Guan New World Hotel) becuz all my info is in English.
If not for her to call me and direct the taxi driver, I probably do not know where I will end up in. Hee..
This is my beautiful room in Jing Guan New World Hotel.

May Ying came over to my hotel room and brought me to a chinese restaurant and she treated me a place of Hot Spicy mini Lobsters..one of the famous dish here..and we order many other nice food..
but can't finished..becuz in Beijing..there is no such thing as small portion..or smaller plate.

After our late dinner its midnite..and I just came back to my room..
unpacked my stuff and took a quick shower..
May Ying showed me so many nice places which we could visit as we travel in the taxi..too bad my stay here is so short..
hee..see how la..might skip the dinner or leave earlier after the dinner with the organisor and meet my church sister after that..hee..
After reaching here..all my grumble started to turn into thanksgiving..
I finally understand why God sent me here...
If God didn't sent me here, I would not break thru this barrier of going abroad and staying alone..and I cannot become really independent..
And if God doesn't sent me here, I probably will never get a chance to come to beijing..seeing another part of the world..
Just take this a work but also a holiday for myself..
God probably know that, since my leave is all taken up by exam..I won't have any leave for holiday..so..after all..this trip is a Great trip.
I should just open up and sit back relax, Break Thru!!! And start enjoying everything God has prepare for me.
Thank you Lord!
Okie now is 1plus in the morning..need to go thru some notes and then go to sleep and get ready for meeting tomo morning..
Keep me in prayer okie..
